For our inaugural event, the mission of the Red, White, & Blue Social is simple: to raise money for cancer research, education, advocacy and service - to benefit patients, survivors, and their families. As of February 2018, The American Cancer Society funds over $32 million for research projects in New York State alone. Funds raised at this event will support service programs such as Road to Recovery, Reach to Recovery, Hope Lodge, and our 24/7/365 1-800 hotline.
Who hasn’t been touched by cancer? If you’re reading this page, chances are you’ve either lost a loved one, cared for a friend, or you are cheering on someone dear to you who has been happily “branded” a survivor!
We fall into all three categories, and that’s why we’re proud to present the Hero of Hope award to one outstanding survivor and their story. This award will be given to a Broome County member who has bravely fought this disease and made an impact on the community.
Nominations will be accepted through June 1st and can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org or via mail to 13 Beech St, Johnson City, NY 13790 ATTN: RWB Hero
Please join us, with the community of business leaders, health-care professionals and pioneering citizens, as together we round up our passion and drive to find a cure and celebrate more birthdays at the Red, White, & Blue Social on June 29th, 2018.
We'll save you a horse.
The RWB Planning Committee
For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
